The Chronicle

Mr Duigan welcomed the whole school back after the Easter holidays on Monday and asked the pupils what is Easter about and why it is important?  After lighting the candle and going through the events of Holy Week, pupils raised their hands and said Easter was about celebrating new life, Jesus being risen and being forgiven. The candle reminded everyone that Jesus is the light of the world which gives us all hope and security for the future. 

We all said the Walk with Me prayer:-

Walk with us Jesus.  You know what it’s like to feel abandoned, lonely and afraid.

Walk with us and show us how to walk with others wherever they are from and whatever they look like or speak like.

Especially help us to walk with those who live in fear,

Who face death through hunger or war.

Show us how to pray for those we do not know and will not meet,

But who are always loved by you.

Walk with us, Jesus.

Amen
