Headmaster's Welcome
I am writing this week’s 'Last Word' from the IAPS Conference in Edinburgh where I am pleased to report that I met with some inspiring speakers from different areas of the education sector and I hope to share some of these new ideas with our school community very soon.
Crackley Hall has been in the capable hands of the Senior Management team during my absence and I am pleased to announce that an additional member will be joining the team at the start of the Lent Term. Mr Charles Lamprecht will be taking up the position of Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Co-curricular Activities. You will be able to read more information about Mr Lamprecht in the 2017-18 Information Booklet which has been sent home with children today and I will update you further as to when Mr Lamprecht will be visiting the school prior to his start date.
Mr Cottrill has told me all about our Stars of the Week and I have also heard about the wonderful performance of the Choral Group during this morning’s World’s Greatest Coffee Morning hosted by our superb PTA. I look forward to hearing how much was raised and hope that there might be a cake left over on Monday.
Unfortunately, I am aware that there were some difficulties caused to local residents this morning whilst they were trying to leave their homes. May I ask that parents and staff please respect our neighbours and take care to avoid the drive ways and exit routes and park with due care and attention when coming to school; the avenue leading to school should not be used for parking as it disrupts the flow of traffic. I appreciate that during peak times it can be difficult but I am sure we can improve the situation if cars park in Littleton Close or move swiftly around the school roundabout.
I hope that you are all able to enjoy a restful weekend.
God bless,
Robert Duigan
