Junior 3 Mass
Thank you to Junior 3 for leading a very special Ash Wednesday Mass. Father Kevin was extremely impressed with the way the pupils read and how reverent they were in helping to celebrate Mass on this special day.
Theo and Charlotte introduced the theme of the Mass, explaining that Lent is the time before Easter when we reflect on how our behaviour has an impact on others. Father Kevin asked us to be ambassadors for Christ and to try extra hard to make the right choices, make sacrifices and serve others so that people can see Christ within us.
One World Week
The whole school have been learning about different cultures and faiths in our local and global community, similar to what we have done in previous years. Pupils in every year group have visited different places of worship: Reception took a trip to St Augustine’s; Year 1 visited St Mary’s in Warwick; Junior 2 went to St Mary’s in Temple Balsall; Junior 3 to a Synagogue, as part of their work on Judaism; Junior 4 visited a Buddhist Peace Pagoda; Junior 5, the Birmingham Mosque, to link with their work on Islam and Junior 6 the Gurdwara Temple in Leamington.
All pupils had the opportunity to take part in a Bollywood Dance workshop, with Sohan Kailey, which was kindly funded by the PTA, and Nursery to Junior 3 were entertained by the Pilgrim Puppets.
It has been an exciting week and one where the children have been ambassadors for Crackley Hall. The presenters and organisers at each venue all praised the pupils for their behaviour and for asking inquisitive questions using their prior knowledge.
