Merryn Cleary (J2M) impressed Mrs Hill during discussion work on the Old Testament story, Jonah and the Whale. She was able to say why it can sometimes be difficult to say ’Yes’ to important requests. Merryn was able to write the story, demonstrating her understanding by writing the final line ‘although Jonah ran away from God to reflect on what he had done, God still forgave him.’

Today Mr. Ferris led a two minute silence as part of our Remembrance Service to give pupils and staff time to think about the sacrifices that soldiers and civilians all over the world have made for others.   

Monday’s assembly will be led by Junior 3V on the special theme of remembrance. Pupils have been busy exploring the theme of what we can learn from previous wars to help us to bring peace.
