Learning In RE

In Junior 2 we explored the story of the Road to Emmaus and we role-played this event in groups. We learnt that even though God is at work, we may have a difficult time understanding what He might be doing. We recognised that God’s big plans will come through, no matter what we can recognise immediately. Jesus revealed who He was to His disciples when they were ready and willing to comprehend.

On Tuesday after the Bank Holiday, pupils in Junior 3 will be celebrating the month of May by making rosary beads. They will learn about the different mysteries and the prayers. We will also crown the statue of Mary and say the rosary together. Later in the week pupils will have an opportunity to bake unleavened bread as part of their preparation for their own Passover Feast.

Next mass will be on Friday, 13 May 10.45am, this will be led by Junior 4R.

Joseph, Amelia and Ben are busy preparing for their Holy Communion, we hope to be able to invite the whole school to celebrate with us on Friday 27 May at St Francis.
